Happy new year everyone! We have a few exciting changes coming in 2019.

New location

In early 2019 we will be packing up the hives, saying goodbye to Murrumbateman and moving across to Bywong. The move will increase the size of our land. This will allow us to expand the apiary even further over the coming years. Bywong is about 40 minutes from Murrumbateman, 15 minutes from Sutton and Bungendore, 30 minutes from Canberra, 40 minutes from Braidwood and 50 minutes from Yass and Goulburn.

New for 2019

We will continue to offer our beekeeping courses as well as our reusable beeswax wraps. We have already purchased new designs for the wraps so watch our online store for updates as to when the new designs are released.

We will be re-working the website in the first quarter of 2019 to reflect our new location. This will include an updated “Things to do in Bywong and the surrounding area page”. We will keep our Murrumbateman page up for the duration of the year as well.

After numerous requests last year, this year we will also introduce home visits and consults. This service will benefit people who already own bees and are looking for someone to come to their hives and give them a bit of guidance. More details will be added to our website. 

Finally, we are working on a new service for hobby beekeepers that we aim to announce in March. We don’t want to reveal too much about this one but we think it is a great idea and will be very popular with beekeepers who have less than 5 hives.
